TRAPPING - After an unfortunate incident on the outskirts of Casper that resulted in the death of three family pets who died in traps, all pet owners need to be aware that Natrona County (and others in Wyoming) has a leash law--all dogs and cats that are off of their owner's property must be on a leash or under voice control of the owner.
Trapping is legal on public lands and there is always a possibility that there will be traps or in some instances poison put out for predators. We would also request that if you are trapping near residential areas you would take the time to alert the property owners about the traps to prevent this from happening in the future. Our condolences to the family who suffered this tragic loss.
